The Order of Four

March 26, Approxmately 2:56 PM

Mult lounges in his seat lazily, eyeing Cutler Kraucache, captain of the Adamant, as his chair tips back against the wall. Cutler raises a brow from across the table, watching Multack intently. Clearing his throat, he pushes his mug of frothy ale aside. "Alright, what are you planning, Zaarock?"

Looking back at him, for his gaze had been wandering in the time it took Cutler to speak up, Mult sighs, and sits back up, chair legs loudly 'clacking' against the wooden floor of the Adamant's mess hall as it descends. He drinks deeply from his mug, and lowers it, nodding his head towards the captain's quarters in the back right of the room. "In there, is our ticket to the Guard. We don't need them on our side in this political war, we just need them against the House of Nobles."

Cutler's eyes widen. "You're planning to overthrow the nobles, Zaarock? What the fel are you thinking?" Mult chuckles, and shakes his head. "Not overthrow, Cutler," he leans in, muttering quietly, "overtake. We're going to beat the nobles at their own game." He leans back again, drinking from his mug.

Cutler takes a moment to digest this. "Why? What's in it for us?"

Mult smirks smugly. "Have you ever heard of the Order of Four, Cutler?" The captain blinks, shaking his head. Amused, Mult leans his head back against the chair. "Of course you haven't."

"The Four are an elusive type, a smuggling company at its lowest point, a filthy rich criminalempire at their peak. Of course, it only became the Order of Four when Theramore was founded. Four ports: Stormwind, Gilneas, Kul Tiras, and Theramore. Gilneas was closed off at the time, of course," he frowns, looking back up at Cutler, "But, as our navigator Mr. Castillian said, tradition can be hard to break."

Finishing his ale in a large gulp, Mult sighs in relief and grabs Cutler's, beginning to drink from his as well. Cutler blinks, but continues to listen. "The story goes that they were formed during the Third War, and came together after seven renowned crime lords formed an alliance to defeat their enemy. Said enemy is never stated in words," he pauses to take a drink, continuing afterwards. "They quickly became the nigh-single criminal empire in the world. Chivalrous, and shady, they and their seven designated leaders grew into an underworld legend."

Cutler nods, confused. "And you're telling me this, why?" Mult cracks a grin, "Oh, you're better than that, 'Cache! Think. Seven people and their vast empires barely able to defeat a common enemy."

Blinking in surprise, "'Cache" mutters quietly to Mult. "You're enlisting the help of a criminal empire to take down the nobles!?"

Grin quickly dissipating into a glum, stoic frown, Mult sighs sadly. "Cutler, Cutler. The House has a new boss, and he's not in the Alliance. Far from it," he whispers. "The Four fell dormant several years ago, falling to greed. The seven crime lords who ruled it fell apart, away from the alliance they made. They secluded themselves in their own empires, and the Order was quickly pushed out of mind," he pauses, "Cutler, we're going to reawaken the Order. Why do you think we're sailing to Dustwallow? To catch up with your brother in Theramore?"

Cutler blinks, eyeing Mult silently as he finishes his drink. Mult hands the empty mug back to Cutler, nodding in assurance. "So how is the Stormwind Guard involved?" Cutler asks.

Mult nods, the shadow of a smirk visible on his lips. "A good question," he looks towards the captain's quarter, then back to Cutler. "We're going to begin a political uprising against the House of Nobles..." He points at the room, entrance barricaded and guarded by the draenei shaman known to some as 'Deathwalker'. "...And the guard captain in there, is going to start it."

In response to Cutler's look of disbelief, quite constant during this conversation, Mult sighs. "I'm turning the Alliance against the House."

((How come every time you write a story about Mult in the present he is seating down behind a desk? How is he not fat now? He is only active outside when Mur is leading a rebellion it seems...)
